Introduction
My name is Kathleen Landolt, and I am in the Education Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program in the Fall of 2013 and will graduate in the Spring of 2015. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2001 with a BacheIor's degree in Music Education. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching elementary and middle school general music. During my first three years of teaching, I completed my Master's degree in Music Education at The Boston Conservatory.
I currently teach chorus to 6th-12th grade students at Adairsville Middle School and Adairsville High School in Bartow County. In addition, I also serve as Adairsville High School's Assistant Drama Director. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Specialist Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to use more technology in my teaching and to help other teachers in my school as a technology coach.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
